Jul 31st, 2008 by LiveVista
www.itechster.com here is a quick tip on how to run routine maintenance on your mac os x install. now this is done automatically but it does it around 3-6 am in the morning so it will not run if your system is in sleep mode or is turned off. So I will show you how to run it via Terminal manually.
Open up Terminal & type:
sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
hit return type in your password
once script is done running your will see the return prompt.
